Travelers worldwide may now be flying with greater peace of mind after it was announced that President Obama dedicated millions of dollars in his proposed 2011 budget to the increased safety and advancement of air travel, as reported by The National Business Travel Association. 1.1 billion dollars in requested funds, a 30 percent increase over 2010, will go to the Next Generation Air Transportation System, which develops new technology to reduce congestion and improve passenger experience. Aviation security will also be improved with the proposed $734 million to fund technologies such as 1,000 new Advanced Imaging Technology screening devices and increased numbers in Federal Air Marshalls on international flights. With these new advancement and additions, flying for both business and leisure may be a more enjoyable and safe experience for everyone on board. http://tinyurl.com/yzedp2w
