New Airfare Tax Legislation Aimed at Transparency of Hidden Federal Tax Fees

Waldorf Astoria comes to LA's Luxury Hotel Scene




Los Angeles' luxury hotel scene is set to get a bit swankier in 2017 when Hilton opens the Waldorf Astoria 
Beverly Hills.  Located next door to the Beverly Hilton on the corner of Wilshire and Santa Monica Boulevards, the 12-story 170-room luxury hotel will be the brand’s first new-build on the West Coast.  This property is reported to have the largest rooftop pool deck with landscaping, VIP cabanas, lounge areas and a swimming pool.  Sounds amazing!

The Results Are In! Airline Quality Rating 2014

In it's 24th year, the Arline Quality Rating report was published earlier this month, ranking the top 15 airlines in this order:

  1. Virgin America
  2. JetBlue
  3. Hawaiian
  4. Delta
  5. Alaska
  6. Endeavor Air (subsidiary of Delta Airlines, flying as DeltaConnection)
  7. US Airways
  8. Southwest
  9. American
  10. Air Tran
  11. Frontier
  12. United
  13. ExpressJet (subsidiary of SkyWest)
  14. SkyWest (serves as a feeder airline, operating under contract with various major carriers)
  15. American Eagle


The report shows that as a whole, the industry improved overall performance quality for 2013 with the highest industry score in the history of the report. United Airlines shows the greatest improvement while Air Tran showed the greatest decline.

The report was published by Brent D. Bowen of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Prescott, Arizona and Dean E. Headley of Wichita State University - Kansas.
